Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley renewed Tuesday her call for taxes on fossil fuels, aviation and shipping, saying hundreds of billions of dollars could be raised for climate action.

“We need to consider levies,” the Caribbean leader, an influential advocate for climate action, told delegates at the COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan.
