Climate Resilience

Climate resilience refers to the ability of natural and human systems to anticipate, prepare for, respond to and recover from the impacts of climate variability and long-term climate change. It involves reducing vulnerability to hazards such as heatwaves, floods, droughts and sea level rise while maintaining social, economic and ecological functions. Climate resilience is addressed through adaptation measures, risk management and long-term planning.
