Algeria

Algeria is the largest country in Africa by land area, located in North Africa and bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, Tunisia, Libya, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, Western Sahara and Morocco. Much of its territory lies within the Sahara Desert, with arid and semi-arid climates dominating the interior and a Mediterranean climate along the coast. Algeria is associated with energy production, including oil and natural gas, as well as issues related to desertification, water resources and climate variability.
