Alzheimer

Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the gradual decline of memory, cognitive function and daily living abilities. It is the most common cause of dementia and is associated with abnormal protein accumulations in the brain, including beta-amyloid plaques and tau tangles. Alzheimer’s disease primarily affects older adults and is studied in neurology, aging research and public health in relation to risk factors, prevention and treatment.
