Atmospheric Chemistry

Atmospheric chemistry is the study of the chemical composition of Earth’s atmosphere and the reactions and processes that occur within it. It examines how gases, aerosols and pollutants interact through natural and human-driven processes affecting air quality, weather and climate. Atmospheric chemistry is central to research on greenhouse gases, ozone depletion, smog, wildfire emissions and the transport of pollutants through the atmosphere.
