Bermuda

Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean, located about 1,035 kilometers (643 miles) east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, United States. The archipelago consists of coral islands and islets formed on the summit of an extinct volcanic seamount and is surrounded by some of the world’s northernmost coral reefs. Its isolated location and unique marine environment make Bermuda an important location for research on oceanography, marine biodiversity, coral reef ecology, climate change, hurricanes, and ocean-atmosphere interactions.
