Biodiversity Threats

Biodiversity threats refer to processes and activities that reduce the variety and variability of life across species, ecosystems and genetic levels. These include habitat loss, pollution, climate change, overexploitation and the introduction of invasive species. Biodiversity threats disrupt ecosystems, weaken resilience and contribute to species decline and extinction.
