Climate science is the field of study that examines the Earth’s climate system, including the atmosphere, oceans, land surface and cryosphere. It investigates climate variability, long-term trends and the effects of natural and human influences on global and regional climates. Climate science integrates observations, theory and modeling to assess future climate scenarios and associated impacts.
