Earth Sciences

Earth sciences refer to the group of scientific disciplines that study the structure, composition and processes of the Earth, including the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and cryosphere. The field encompasses areas such as geology, meteorology, climatology, oceanography and geophysics and examines physical, chemical and biological interactions within the Earth system and their implications for natural hazards, natural resources and environmental change.
