EPA

EPA commonly refers to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the federal agency responsible for implementing and enforcing environmental laws related to air quality, water protection, chemical safety and pollution control. Established in 1970, the EPA develops regulations, conducts research and oversees compliance to protect human health and the environment.
