Forestry refers to the science and practice of managing forests and woodlands for ecological, economic and social purposes. It includes activities such as tree cultivation, timber production, conservation, restoration and monitoring of forest health. Forestry is studied in relation to biodiversity, carbon storage, wildfire risk, water regulation and sustainable land use.
