Heat

Heat refers to thermal energy transferred between systems or bodies due to a temperature difference and is commonly experienced as warmth resulting from solar radiation reaching Earth’s surface. Solar heat drives atmospheric circulation, influences weather patterns and regulates surface temperatures across regions. Variations in heat levels affect ecosystems, water availability and human activity, and sustained exposure to elevated temperatures can pose risks to human health, particularly in urban areas and during prolonged hot conditions.
