Lupus

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks healthy tissues, causing inflammation and damage in organs such as the skin, joints, kidneys and cardiovascular system. The most common and severe form is systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), which can affect multiple organ systems and varies in symptoms and progression. Lupus is managed with treatments aimed at reducing inflammation and regulating immune activity.
