Oceanography

Oceanography refers to the scientific study of the physical, chemical, geological, and climatic processes of the ocean. It examines ocean circulation, currents, waves, temperature, salinity, seafloor structure, and interactions between the ocean and the atmosphere, including their role in weather and climate systems. Oceanography focuses on how the ocean functions as a dynamic Earth system rather than on marine life itself.
