Oman

Oman is a country on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, bordered by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen, with coastlines along the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea, and the Gulf of Aden. Its distinctive geology, including the globally significant Samail Ophiolite, together with its deserts, mountains, and marine environments, makes Oman an important location for research on geology, natural carbon sequestration, atmospheric processes, oceanography, marine biodiversity, climate change, and water resources.
