Plants

Plants are multicellular organisms belonging to the kingdom Plantae that typically produce energy through photosynthesis, using sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into organic compounds. They include flowering plants, trees, grasses, ferns and mosses that inhabit terrestrial and some aquatic environments. Plants form the base of most food webs, produce oxygen, store carbon and play a central role in ecosystem functioning and climate regulation.
