Resilience

Resilience refers to the capacity of a system, community or organism to withstand disturbances, adapt to changing conditions and recover from shocks while maintaining essential functions. It is used across fields including ecology, engineering, psychology and economics to describe stability, adaptability and recovery processes under stress.
