Siberia

Siberia is a vast region of northern Asia extending across much of Russia from the Ural Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. It is characterized by boreal forests, tundra, permafrost, major river systems and Arctic and sub-Arctic climates with long, severe winters. Siberia is closely associated with permafrost thaw, wildfires, methane emissions, Arctic warming and large-scale environmental changes linked to climate change.
