Temperature is a physical measure of how hot or cold the atmosphere, land, or ocean is, reflecting the average kinetic energy of particles in a system. It is commonly measured in degrees Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), or kelvin (K), with Celsius widely used in climate and environmental reporting.
