Viticulture

Viticulture is the science and practice of cultivating grapevines, primarily for the production of wine but also for table grapes and raisins. It involves the management of vineyards, including soil conditions, irrigation, pruning, pest control and harvest timing. Viticulture is closely linked to climate, as temperature, precipitation and seasonal patterns influence grape quality, yield and regional wine characteristics.
