The National Hurricane Center said Hurricane Isaias made landfall in Florida on Friday night, as the Gulf coast braced for the category two storm.

“Isaias makes landfall near Destin, Florida,” the National Hurricane Center’s latest update said. “Life threatening storm surge impacting Gulf coast as dangerous hurricane conditions and flash flooding spread inland.”
