Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi pledged Friday to “make maximum use of decarbonised power sources” to ensure energy security.

“Ensuring domestically produced energy is important from the viewpoint of energy security,” Takaichi told parliament following her election landslide earlier this month.
