Atmospheric Science

Atmospheric science is the branch of Earth sciences that studies the structure, composition and dynamics of the Earth’s atmosphere. It examines processes such as atmospheric circulation, weather systems, radiation balance, cloud formation and interactions between the atmosphere and the oceans and land surface. Atmospheric science underpins weather forecasting, air quality research and the study of climate variability and long-term climate change.
