Crops

Crops are cultivated plants grown for food, animal feed, fiber, fuel or other economic purposes. Major crop types include cereals, legumes, fruits, vegetables and oilseeds. Crop production depends on soil quality, climate, water availability and agricultural practices and is central to food systems and rural economies.
