Ecology is the natural science that studies the relationships between living organisms and their environment, from individuals to populations, communities, ecosystems, and the biosphere. It examines how organisms live, interact, and adapt, the flow of energy and nutrients through ecosystems, the distribution and diversity of species, and how environmental changes affect these processes.
