Extreme Weather Events

Extreme weather events are individual occurrences of weather that are significantly more intense, prolonged, or rare than typical conditions for a specific location, such as heatwaves, floods, storms, or droughts. They are assessed in relation to historical climate records and can be influenced by both natural variability and long-term climate change.
