Food Security

Food security refers to a condition in which all people have consistent physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs for an active and healthy life. It depends on food availability, access, utilization and stability over time. Food security is influenced by agricultural productivity, trade, income levels, climate variability and conflict.
