Toxic Chemicals

Toxic chemicals are substances that can cause harm to living organisms through inhalation, ingestion or skin contact, depending on their concentration, exposure duration and biological effects. They include industrial compounds, heavy metals, pesticides, solvents and other synthetic or naturally occurring substances with hazardous properties. Toxic chemicals are studied in toxicology and environmental science in relation to human health, ecosystem impacts, bioaccumulation and regulatory control.
