Waste

Waste refers to unwanted or discarded materials generated by households, industry, agriculture and other human activities. It can take solid, liquid or gaseous forms and includes everything from food waste and plastics to industrial by-products and wastewater. Waste is studied in relation to pollution, resource use, recycling and environmental management.
