WMO

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international cooperation in weather, climate, hydrology and atmospheric science. It coordinates global observation networks, forecasting systems and climate monitoring efforts among national meteorological and hydrological services. The WMO plays a central role in research and policy related to climate change, extreme weather, early warning systems and environmental monitoring.
