South Korea sends trial container ship through Arctic route: ministry

Seoul, South Korea | AFP

A container ship departed on Saturday from South Korea on a trial route through the Arctic, Seoul’s oceans ministry said, as the Middle East war rattles global shipping and despite environmental concerns.

“The vessel for the Arctic route trial voyage departed” at 9:30 pm (12:30 GMT), the ministry said in a statement sent to AFP.
